• Meet your tour manager or shuttle driver at your **designated pick-up point. Confirmed pick-up/drop-

off locations are above.

• All stops for passenger pickup/drop off will be brief (10 min.) and we ask that you remain on board while

we greet new travelers. Once all travelers are aboard the motor coach, we make our way across

Confederation Bridge and to the ferry terminal in Souris, PE.

• Lunch is on your own today. You can choose to get something to eat in the ship’s casual restaurant or bar

after boarding or choose to have your meal within walking distance of the Ferry Terminal prior to

boarding.

• Once boarded, enjoy a five-hour crossing to Cap-aux-Meules (Grindstone Island), the second largest of the

eight major islands. This 40-mile long, fishhook-shaped archipelago is known as Les Iles de la Madeleine,

Quebec.

• Once we arrive at the Cap aux Meules ferry ramp this evening, we’re left with a brief 2-minute drive to the

Chateau Madelinot, our hotel, for the next four nights. Relax while your Tour Manager checks the group

in, distributes your room keys and has your luggage delivered to your rooms.

• Take some time to freshen up before, joining your tour manager

and your fellow travellers for our group’s welcome dinner in the

hotel’s restaurant, served with either a glass of wine or beer

(included).

• Following dinner, the remainder of the evening is yours to explore

on your own (your expense).

Thursda y, August 5 – Home – Chateau Madelinot, Magdalen Islands (Welcome

Location: Chateau Madelinot , Magdalen Islands (B , Group D)

• Enjoy a full American breakfast (included) in the hotel dining room this morning.

• Today, we will visit the Musee de la Mer. Located in Havre-Aubert on Cap Gridley, a stone's throw from the

La Grave Heritage Site, the Museum's mission is to preserve, promote and appreciate the history and

heritage of the archipelago.

• You will have time for lunch at many of the waterfront cafes located on site (your expense).

• Following our visit to the Musee de la Mer, we have a quick drive to Fromagerie du Pied-de-Vent for a tour,

presentation, and tasting samples of some local cheeses.

• Another quick drive and we arrive at Le Barbocheux Winery for some local wine tasting. This company

specializes in the production of craft beverages. The Barbocheux name is an old word of the Islands which

comes from "Barbocher" which means to go and have a little drink from house to house (to go Barbocher).

• We will return to our hotel later this afternoon where you have free time to freshen up before another group

dinner this evening.

• Then we continue with our local guide for a fabulous and informative tour of the picturesque communities

that dot the eastern part of the archipelago. Learn about the history, geology and natural beauty of this

amazing area and its locals, or “Madelinots.”

• Pass by the island’s salt mine as you head to the picturesque town of Grand-Entrée on Grand Entry Island,

the north-east extent of the islands and Quebec’s designated lobster capital.

• We will visit the Seal Interpretation Center this afternoon and here we will learn about the seals' living

environment, especially the St. Lawrence Gulf and its estuary. Take the time to see Yoanis Menge's photo

exhibit 'Tableau de chasse' and the multi-image slideshow 'Ice Haven'.

• Following our visit at the Seal Interpretation Center we return to our hotel. Enjoy your afternoon as you
