This relaxed paced tour includes one night in Campbellton, New Brunswick, two nights at the Riôtel Percé in the charming tourist town of Percé QC with its the famous "pierced" rock jutting out of the sea for which the town is named, followed by one night each in Matane and Rimouski. Join us as we discover the natural wonder of the Percé Rock aboard a boat tour for an up-close view of both the Rock and Bonaventure Island, Visit the Jardins de Doris (gardens) started by a husband and wife duo in 1998, open for the public to visit since 2001. Learn about the devastating history of the Empress of Ireland, and the maritime history shaped by the importance of the mouth of the mighty St Lawrence River.

At the Jardin De Doris we will spend approximately 1 hour exploring the over 185,000 square feet of gardens with a wide variety of flowers & plants to enjoy. Maybe you would like to spend some time by the duck and goose pond? Or try your hand telling time at the large sundials throughout the garden. Enjoy the garden at your leisure.
The National Historic Site of the Empress of Ireland
Here you will enjoy 1 hour and 45 minutes approximately, in the Museum and viewing of the film of the Empress of Ireland tragedy. The sinking of the Empress of Ireland was the second largest shipwreck in the history of the Maritimes, next to the Titanic, of course. You will also get a chance to climb the steps to the top of “Father Point,” one of the tallest lighthouses in Canada.

throughout the tour.
• Take some time to freshen up before joining your tour manager and fellow travellers for a group
welcome dinner this evening, with a glass of wine / beer included (meal and beer / wine included).

• Enjoy a continental breakfast this morning before we get set to cross the J.C. Van Horne Bridge over the
Restigouche River to Pointe-a-la-Croix Quebec. Don’t forget to set back those watches by one hour as we
enter Eastern Standard Time (EST)!
• Prepare for a fascinating morning of history at the Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site.
Discover the story of the last naval battle fought between France and Great Britain for control of territory
in the New World. Often regarded as the final chapter of New France, this pivotal conflict marked the
beginning of British rule over the region.
• Lunch today will be on your own (your expense).
• This afternoon we will arrive in Percé, Quebec. This town is perched at the tip of the world famous Gaspé
Peninsula granting you a breath-taking view of the Percé Rock.
• We check in to the Riotel Perce Hotel for our 2-night stay, located in the centre of the village, right on the
water’s edge and opposite the Parc National de l’Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé. The hotel rooms
offer an unmatched view of the stunning Percé Rock and the Bonaventure Island; and with its
breathtaking view of the sea, the dining room serves as an unforgettable feast for all the senses. Breathe
in the fresh sea air and relax and take those memorable pictures.
• This evening, join your tour manager and fellow travellers at the hotel’s dining room for a delicious meal
together (included).
• Following dinner, the remainder of evening is free for you to enjoy at your leisure.
Location: Percé (B)
• Following breakfast, we take a short drive into the village of Gaspé
to enjoy some of the local boutiques and lunch (your expense)
before departing on our scenic boat cruise.
• This afternoon we are scheduled for an exciting adventure on a
boat cruise! (Included). The highlight of the tour - this is your
chance to see Percé Rock up close during our scenic boat ride to the
rock and neighbouring Bonaventure Island to learn about the
numerous birds who call this island home.
• Once ashore, the remainder of the afternoon and evening are yours
to enjoy at your leisure.
• Take time to further explore this friendly coastal village, complete with colourful boutiques, studios,
restaurants, and charming cafés. If you wish you may return to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon in your
seaside hotel.
Location: Percé – Riotel Matane, Matane, QC (B, Group D)
• We will make stops for breaks and lunch today along our route
(your expense).
• Today we will explore the Jardin De Doris (Doris Gardens)
entrance fees included. At the Jardin De Doris we will spend
approximately 2 hours exploring the over 185,000 square feet of
gardens with a wide variety of flowers & plants to enjoy. Maybe

• We then board the coach for our short drive to the Riotel Matane Hotel. Your Tour Manager will once
again check the group into the hotel, distribute your rooms keys and have your bags delivered to your

• After enjoying your American breakfast (included) this morning we will depart Point-au-Pere for our visit
to the National Historic Site of the Empress of Ireland. Here you will enjoy 1 hour and 30 minutes

promenade, where restaurants extend their outdoor patios along
the walkway, creating a lively atmosphere for dining, strolling,
and people-watching.
• Join the tour manager and fellow passengers for your final meal - a delicious, “Farewell Group Dinner”
with wine or beer (Included). Let’s raise our glasses to an incredible journey to the province of Quebec!
• The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy, as you please (your expense).

• We will make rest stops and a stop for a lunch along our route today (your expense).
