Join Collins Tours as we set sail on the inaugural sailing aboard the Norwegian Aura from Venice (Trieste), Italy through the Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas visiting two of Italy's classic ports, both Civitavecchia near Rome, and Salerno along the Amalfi Coast!  The Aura makes a unique overnight stop at Valetta, Malta - capital city of the island nation a crossroads of past empires and today's welcoming locals before reaching Barcelona, one of the most popular ports to visit in Europe.

Our adventure begins with two pre-cruise nights in the beautiful Venice at the 5-star hotel, the Splendid Venice Hotel, located in the heart of the main island near the Grand Canal. You will be located in walking distance (on foot over famous walking bridges!) to St Marks Square overlooked by its Basilica of the same namesake.  Enjoy a professionally guided city tour of the "City of Canals" including a visit to Murano Island by boat known for its world-renowned handmade glassware.
Next, we embark on a thrilling 8-day cruise adventure aboard the brand-new Norwegian Aura from Trieste near Venice!
Being built in Trieste, Italy by Fincantieri, the largest and most trusted shipbuilder in Europe, this is the NCL's fifth Prima-class cruise ship.  At 172,000 gross tonnage it will be their largest.
After we enjoy a day at sea, our first stop is in the island nation of Malta in the harbour of its capital city Valletta for a full 24 hours.  That's right, this elegant cruise liner is docked overnight in Valletta.  Enjoy the daytime and evening events in Malta.  Can you solve the mystery of the Maltese Falcon while you are there?  Take time to see the coastal Blue Grotto, a limestone arch jutting into the crystal-clear blue sea.
Next, the ship visits Salerno, Italy.  This historic city is located close to the stunning Amalfi Coast or to Pompei, frozen in the volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvius.  Where will you explore today?
The Aura then arrives at the port of Civitavecchia; this is the coastal port giving you access to Rome (70km/44miles each way).  The "Eternal City" of Rome is the filled with historic locations to explore - the Colosseum, Vatican City, Pantheon and so much more!
After another day at sea to enjoy all that this ship has to offer.  Think high quality entertainment and delicious food; we head to Spain, specific to Barcelona to disembark - a place of palpable history, where you can stroll down the medieval streets of the Barri Gothic!

Although the fabulous cruise portion of our tour ends in Barcelona, our vacation is not finished! After disembarking enjoy a tour of this world city including a visit to Gaudi's Park Guell and our Farewell Dinner together.
