Updated Deposit Policy:

Initial deposit can be transferred to another tour within the same calendar year up to 60 days after booking.  New reservations must be made, and a new deposit must be paid for the tour your exchangeable deposit is transferred too for the same traveler, otherwise, name change fees apply – see “Name Changes or Corrections” section for more details.

Please note: These exchangeable deposits are a one-time transfer and cannot be moved forward continually to other tours.  Once the exchange has taken place from an original tour to a new tour, there is no longer an exchangeable policy for that newly booked tour.  We recommend the purchase of travel insurance on ALL our tours as they are 100% non-refundable.

 Collins Tours has many supplier agreements to meet and is not responsible for clients’ misfortunes, sickness, illness, or changes in decisions to travel. Deposits secure your travel arrangements on the tour you have chosen. Balances must be paid in full prior to the tour by designated date or risk of automatic cancellation with full loss of payments. To avoid disappointment, we ask for all payments to be met by initial timelines provided on invoices, website, or documentation from Collins Tours.

Note: If the final payment date passes, or if reservation is made after the tour’s final payment date, the deposit amount cannot be moved to a different tour.

Location: Ferry to Port Aux Basques, NL – Overnight Ferry

• Meet your tour manager or shuttle driver at your designated meeting point. The pick-up/drop-

off locations are as follows: Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your designated

departure time to provide ample time for luggage and travelers to board.

• Upon arrival at the ferry terminal, your tour manager will check in with Marine Atlantic. Please

have your *valid photo identification – must include full name and date of birth.

• Please note: All passengers should pack an overnight bag for the overnight ferry crossing into

Port Aux Basques. Large pieces of luggage will remain on the coach until we arrive in Port Aux

Basques, N.L. You will also be required to do the same for the overnight ferry from Port Aux

Basques back to Nova Scotia.

• The coach boards the ferry, then passengers are checked in. Your Tour Manager will provide

room keys of your overnight cabin (price included in your tour cost). Please note: Marine

Atlantic randomly assigns cabins on day of check-in and will not guarantee cabins with

windows. The crossing from North Sydney to Port Aux Basques, N.L. takes approx. 8-9 hrs,

cabin, with fuel, and security fees included).

• Dinner and all activities on the ferry are at your leisure (own expense).

Location: Port Aux Basques, NL – Shallow Bay Motel, Cow Head

• Breakfast is on your own this morning onboard the ferry before we arrive in Port Aux Basques,

Newfoundland (own expense).

• Join your tour manager and fellow travellers as we prepare to board the coach to disembark the

ferry.

• Today’s drive will take us from Port Aux Basques along the Western Coast of Newfoundland

where we will see beautiful scenery and multi-coloured houses.

• We will make a stop in Deer Lake for lunch (own expense) before heading to our accommodation

for the evening.

• Late this afternoon we will arrive at the Shallow Bay Motel where we will enjoy top-notch

amenities. Relax while your Tour Manager checks you in for your 2-night stay overlooking the St

Lawerence Bay, distributes room keys and has your luggage delivered to your rooms (one per

person).

• Tonight meet your tour manager and fellow travelers for your group welcome dinner with wine

rich cultural history, and biological diversity of this

fascinating bay, situated in the heart of Gros Morne National

Park, a “UNESCO” World Heritage Site.

• After the cruise, we will take time for lunch in the beautiful

and charming town of Rocky Harbour (included).

• Following lunch, we will make our way to St. Anthony, where

Sunday, June 21 – Shallow Bay Motel, Cow Head – Norris Point – Grenfell

Location: St. Anthony (B, Group D)

• Enjoy another complimentary breakfast this morning.

• This morning, we will make our way to L’Anse Aux Meadows

to travel back in time during your visit to a UNESCO World

Heritage Site, located on the Great Northern Peninsula.

Explore remains of an authentic 11th-Century Viking

settlement, evidence of the first European presence in North

America, predating Columbus by 500 years! (Ticket

included).

• A lunch stop has been scheduled for convenience of the

group (own expense).

• Enjoy the afternoon to explore St. Anthony on your own (your expense). Perhaps you may want

to visit the Grenfell House Museum or take a stroll along the ocean to see if you can see the many

icebergs that pass through the area.

• Tonight, we will gather to enjoy another group dinner at a nearby restaurant in St. Anthony.

• Following dinner, the remainder of the day is to enjoy your way (at your expense).

Monday, June 22 – St. Anthony (B, Group D)

Location: St. Anthony – Deer Lake Motel, Deer Lake (B)

• Enjoy another hot Newfoundland breakfast before we head south this morning (included).

• Our first stop is the Port au Choix National Historic Site. On the west side of Newfoundland's Great

Northern Peninsula, you'll find the crossroads of 6,000 years of human history. The sea's bounty

drew Maritime Archaic people, the Dorset people, the Groswater people and the recent

indigenous people here long before Europeans arrived. (Admission included). Enjoy a short

educational film and some fascinating artifacts, considered some of the richest archeological finds

in North America.

• We will make stops for breaks to stretch your legs and for lunch (on your own) along our drive

today.

• We will stop at the Provincial Arches for a photo opportunity (weather permitting). The Arches

Provincial Park is a natural wonder that features 3 large rock arches formed by the powerful

action of the ocean waves over thousands of years. Be careful if you venture out as the rocks may

be slippery.

• We will check in to the Deer Lake Motel for the evening, where your Tour Manager will, once

again, distribute room keys and have your luggage sent to your room on your behalf.

• The remainder of the evening is at your leisure (own expense).

Location: Deer Lake – Quality Hotel & Suites, Gander (B)

• Enjoy a hot breakfast this morning before our drive East, toward Gander, NL and access to

Twillingate! (included)

• We will make a stop for a break along our route today to stretch our legs.

• Lunch today will be on your own (own expense).

• We will pay tribute to the Silent Witness Memorial upon our arrival in Gander. This memorial is dedicated

to the victims of the Arrow Air flight that crashed in 1985, just outside of Gander. It was on route from

Cairo, Egypt to Fort Campbell, Kentucky where it crashed killing 8 crew members and 248 passengers.

• We will arrive at the Quality Hotel & Suites this afternoon for our 2-night stay. Relax as your tour

managers handles the group check in process, distributes your room keys and has your bags sent

to your room.

• Dinner is on your own this evening with options nearby (own expense).

• Enjoy hot full American breakfast this morning, before our departure this morning to

Twillingate. (Included)

• Upon arrival, take in the scenery and enjoy the town at leisure while those who have booked a

whale-watching cruise can enjoy a brief break while your guide checks you in for our sailing; a 2-

hr narrated sightseeing cruise through the channels and islands of north-central Newfoundland

• Following the cruise, we will make our way to the Auk Island Winery where we will enjoy a lunch,

private interpretive fishing center and craft studio. Enjoy a cod splitting demonstration as well!

• Tonight’s group dinner (included) is a definite highlight of traveling to Newfoundland with

• Enjoy the hotel’s full hot breakfast (included) before our departure this morning.

• Today’s drive includes a 20-minute morning rest stop along our route.

• We will arrive in Deer Lake this afternoon where we will enjoy lunch (own expense).

• Following lunch, we will arrive at the Deer Lake Horizon Hotel for our 1-night stay. Your tour

manager will again complete the group check-in, distribute the room keys and have your luggage

sent to your rooms (1 bag per person).

• This evening, our “Farewell to the Rock” group dinner will give you an opportunity to reflect on

your time spent in one of Canada’s most unique places (included). Note, our farewell dinner

includes a glass of wine or beer.

• Following dinner, you are free to relax and enjoy the evening. Perhaps you would like to take a

nice walk over to the cove for amazing sunset views!

• Please remember to pack only an overnight bag for tomorrow’s overnight ferry crossing.

vibrant arts scene and fascinating history (own expense).

• We will enjoy dinner this evening on route to Port Aux Basques before heading to the

Newfoundland Ferry for our overnight crossing (your expense).

• Prior to checking in at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal, we will stop for last minute snacks and

essentials for the overnight ferry crossing.

• We will check in for the crossing (overnight sailing) to North Sydney. The tour manager will

distribute your cabin key for your cabins (included in tour price). Please remember only

your overnight bag is allowed on deck. Large suitcases must remain on the bus (Ticket, tax

& surcharges are included in tour price).

• Relax and enjoy your 6-8 hour crossing to North Sydney, NS.

Saturday, June 27 – Deer Lake - Port Aux Basques – Marine Atlantic

Location: North Sydney & Home

• Breakfast this morning will be on board the ferry (own expense).

• Once we disembark in North Sydney, it’s time to head home. We will have a brief stop along the

route followed by a 1 (one) hour lunch break (own expense).
