traveling through Margaree Forks to the western

alongside the main river system up to Belle Cote - a

Margaree, where it flows into the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Belle Cote marks the traditional boundary on the western
side of Cape Breton, dividing the Scottish settlements to the south from the Acadian villages in the north.
